Eximprod started the production of low-voltage electrical equipment back in 1994. Our first product was the insulation piercing connector  CDD 45, an innovation in the Romanian profile market. The CDD 45 was designed in 1994, and has been manufactured since 1995, is the oldest product of Eximprod. In these 25 years, our range of connectors has reached 23 constructive variants and has sold about 9 million copies.

The portfolio of low voltage products and equipment is available in a wide range which is detailed in the attached catalog, including:

Insulation piercing connectors are used for conducting electrical connections bypass, in low voltage overhead electrical networks made with twisted, coaxial and non-insulated conductors. The insulation piercing connectors enable bypasses without stripping the insulation off of conductors.

  • Insulation piercing connectors for twisted insulated and coaxial conductors: CDD 45, CDD 45C, CDD 90C, CDD145, CDD145C, CDD 15IL, CDD 90IL, CDD 100IL, CDD 160, CUAL 250;
  • Insulation piercing connectors for non-insulated conductors: CDD 45/CN, CDD145/CNA, CDD 145/CN.

Low voltage fittings are used for the extension of single-phase, three-phase connections and zero conductors in twisted networks.

The fittings are metal constructions adaptable on the poles commonly used in the construction of overhead power lines, both poles intended especially for low voltage lines and poles for medium voltage lines, when they are mounted, under the crown of the 20 kV line, the twisted insulated conductor of the 0.4 kV line.

The low-voltage interphase spacer is mounted on low-voltage overhead power lines with non-insulated conductors, after switching off the voltage and installing a short-circuit in the working area. It is used to maintain the safe distance between the conductors of the power line, both for single and three-phase ones.

The fittings are metal constructions adaptable on the poles, commonly used in the construction of overhead power lines, for poles intended for both low voltage, as well as medium voltage lines, when they are mounted, under the crown of the 20 kV line, the twisted insulated conductor of the 0.4 kV line.

Low voltage arresters are safety devices that are used in low voltage electric networks in order to protect consumers against sudden power surges caused by lightning or commutation.

Low voltage arresters with accessories (DELIN U/I) are installed on insulated or non-insulated conductors on the low voltage electric line by using an insulation piercing connector, and the grounding conductor is used.

We recommend installing arresters with disconnectors in order to simplify the process of identifying faulty arresters. In case of a permanent malfunction (short-circuiting) of a device’s capsule, the arrester severs the electrical connection and signals it through a colored element that can be easily seen from a distance of approximately 10m.

The phase fixing device is a subsystem of the grounding and short circuit device used in low voltage overhead power lines, with twisted conductors as a safety measure against accidental charges on the worksite. The phase fixing device is permanently installed on the twisted conductors using the insulation piercing connectors. They are used on overhead power lines with insulated twisted conductors or on those with a maximum nominal voltage of 1 kV.

Single-phase branching boxes (FB1) equipped with an automated circuit breaker, are meant to induce electrical branchings for individual consumers with powers of up to 6 kW.

The branching boxes allow:

  • linking between the provider’s network and the consumer’s equipment;
  • protection during short circuits and voltage overloading, due to the automated circuit breaker, as well as personal protection against accidental indirect contact;
  • for the possibility of resuming the energy supply by a consumer, if the protection has been triggered due to a defect in their equipment.

The branching boxes limit the amount of power that is consumed (the fixed adjustment circuit breakers have a very high precision) and enable sealing the cabinet and the mounting bolts on the wall, with high endurance in time, due to the anti-shock, fireproof, UV-resistant materials used.

Our range of products is diverse and meets the latest technical specs of all Romanian distribution operators. Our portfolio contains products with polyester/glass fiber-armored polycarbonate casings, as well as ABS and polycarbonate, in either classic or compact version, with nozzles or glands according to the client’s request.

Distribution boxes are installed in low voltage power distribution lines, for overhead substations placed on poles, equipped with power transformers of 25…250 (400) kVA, 20/0,4 kV.

Their role is to provide electricity to consumers in rural areas and to power the street lighting system.

They can be built into zinc metallic casing, painted in the electrostatic field, or in PAFS casings.

We manufacture junction, selective and section boxes.

These are mounted in low-voltage distribution networks, in order to provide electricity to consumers within overhead and/or underground lines.

They can be built into zinc metallic casing, painted in the electrostatic field, or in PAFS casings.

The central lighting point (PIL) is used in low-voltage networks in order to supply public illumination systems with electricity.

These panels are built manually or automated (Luxomat/programmed clock) in single- or three-phase systems and are also capable of measuring the amount of electricity consumed.

They can be built into zinc metallic casing, painted in the electrostatic field, or in PAFS casings.

These are used in substations/power stations, in a metallic box/built construction equipped with 160,1000 kVA power transformers and voltages of 20(10;6)/0,4 kV, to provide electricity to towns, commercial agents and public/street illumination systems.

Distribution niches and meter boxes are installed in low-voltage distribution networks, in order to supply electricity to multiple household consumers or town constructions with multiple consumers.

This equipment ensures the link between the electricity provider’s overhead/underground three-phased branching box, and the consumer’s system.

They can be built into zinc metallic casing, painted in the electrostatic field, or in PAFS casings.

Automatic locking systems are meant to be installed into medium voltage secondary substations operated by local energy providers. The automatic locking system switches power from the main source to the secondary source, based off the presence/absence of voltage and position signals from the medium voltage circuit breakers on the two inputs.

The 110 kV protection cabinets are intended for substations and provide the functions of protection, command control, interlocks, automation and SCADA.

  • 110 kV overhead line protective cabinet;
  • 110/20(6) kV transformer protective cabinet;
  • 110 kV joint protective cabinet;
  • type DAUT protective cabinet;
  • general signaling protective cabinets (DSG);
  • SCADA protective cabinets;
  • TELECOM protective cabinets;
  • type PMB protective cabinets;
  • type AAR+DASu-DASf protective cabinets.

These are cabinets used for safe connection to the local electricity distribution network of electricity producers from renewable sources.

Low-voltage single-phase or three-phase connections can be made and monitored.
